Oil tank maintenance requires a variety of tools. Here are some common tools:
1. Inspection tools
Ultrasonic thickness gauge: used to measure the thickness of the tank wall, detect the corrosion of the tank, and determine whether it needs to be repaired or replaced.
Ground resistance tester: detect whether the grounding system of the oil tank is good, ensure that static electricity can be safely introduced into the earth, and prevent static electricity from causing fire or explosion.
Combustible gas detector: detect the concentration of combustible gas in the tank and the surrounding environment before and during maintenance work to ensure a safe working environment.
2. Cleaning tools
High-pressure water gun: used to rinse the outside and inside of the tank to remove dust, oil and impurities.
Scraper and brush: used with a high-pressure water gun to scrape off sludge and stubborn stains on the tank wall and bottom.
Vacuum suction truck: used to suck sludge and sewage from the bottom of the tank and transport it to a designated location for treatment.
3. Anti-corrosion tools
Grinding machine: Before repairing or repainting the anti-corrosion coating, it is used to grind the surface of the tank, remove rust and old coating, and make the surface reach a certain degree of roughness to enhance the adhesion of the coating.
Spray gun: used to spray anti-corrosion coating to ensure that the coating is uniform and smooth.
Paint brush and roller: used to paint some parts that are difficult to reach with a spray gun, such as the edges and corners of the tank.
4.Maintenance tools
Electric welder: used to weld cracks in the tank, repair damaged parts or replace some parts.
Gas cutting equipment: used to cut metal when larger parts need to be replaced or the tank needs to be modified.
Common tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers: used to disassemble and install accessories of oil storage tanks, such as valves, liquid level gauges, thermometers, etc.
5.Safety protection tools
Safety helmets, safety shoes, gloves: protect the head, feet and hands of maintenance personnel.
Safety belts and safety ropes: used when working at heights to prevent people from falling.
Air respirator: provides clean air to prevent personnel from poisoning when entering the oil storage tank to work.
